The game play feels a bit like recent Rayman games mixed with the exploration and power up finding game play of classic Metroid, taking Ori from a flimsy little wisp of a creature to one that can blast through rock, jump off projectiles (sending them back at enemies) and so on, though you always remain somewhat flimsy and easily killed, making the game quite difficult in places. The story's simple yet moving, especially with the perfect soundtrack that lives up to even classic sound tracks. Taking the best of Rayman Origins/Legends and Metroidvania style games, you have to revive the forest after Kuro's blind hatred led her to destroy it.
